Mwen se moun Port-au-Prince. Papa m– gwo atis renome, Geo Remponeau– te gen sis pitit. Mwen fèt anba lavil—nan ri Geffrard–nan yon gwo kay chanmòt ansyen. Lè m te gen twazan, fanmi m te monte anwo lavil nan Riyèl Nazon: lè sa a li pa t ko konstwi.

Paran m te bati yon kay la. Si te gen dis kay nan katye a te gen anpil. Te gen anpil pye bwa. Te gen bèl teren, teren ke kòm timoun nou te konn eksplore. Pa t ko gen wout pou ale Dèlma, men te gen yon wout apye kite rive jis sou tèt Sen Antwan.

Timoun te konn jwenn ti kokiyaj atè, ki te fè m mande si yon jou lontan lanmè a te rive jis anwo la.

Pèsonn nan fanmi m pa t modèl. Lè m te piti, mwen te konn li magazin kite soti an Frans. Men, mwen pa t konnen kisa egzakteman travay modèl te ye. Mwen te renmen gade bèl rad sou moun yo. Se te youn lan pi gwo lekòl an Ayiti. Kanta pou prestij, lekòl sa a pa t manke sa. Se te yon lekòl pou tifi sèlman.

Toutbonvre, edikatè yo te diplome nan gade ti moun yo mal. Yo te kontrole etidyan yo. Mè  yo te diplome lan mechanste. Yo te konn fè etidyan yo kriye toulèjou; yo te konn di tifi yo ke yo lèd kou bèt; epitou, yo pat renmen jan ti moun yo te pale Franse.

Chans pou mwen, mwen ke jwenn yon mè Ayisyèn kit e renmen m anpil. Li te wè lan mwen ti talan atistik. Mè sa a te edem anpil. Li te konn banmwen bon jan de devwa pou fè imajinasyon m travay.  Yon fwa pandan vakans, mwen sonje mè a te banm yon liv pou fè kopi l a la men. Liv la pa t gen anpil paj, men sa te pran tan pou m te fini l. Jounen jodiya, mwen pa ka di w sou ki sijè liv sa a te ekri. Men, sa te ban m anpil disiplin.

Jiskaprezan, mwen mande tèt mwen si se pa t disiplin sa a ki te asiste m jwenn detèminasyon pou mwen acheve tout travay mwen te fè kòm modèl ozetazini. Fanmi m te renmenm anpil, tou. Sa se toujou pi gwo bourad yon ti moun ka jwenn.
